TC overtakes Westmont

After being let out of school for Christmas break at noon, the Lady Trojans had to comeback and play a home game vs. Westmont at 7:00pm.  With the holiday break already in mind, the team came out a little sluggish and fell behind 19-9 in the first half.  Thankfully, TC was able to make a big push before halftime and closed with a 13-2 run, which put them up 22-21 at the half.

The third quarter did not see much offensive action with both teams scoring only 6 and 4.  Fortunately, the Lady Trojans had the upper hand in the quarter and took a three point lead into the 4th.  Outside of the closing run to finish the first half, the 4th quarter was all Timothy.  The Lady Trojans outscored Westmont 12-2 in the final phase and took home a holiday break win with a score of 40-27.

There were many girls who contributed to the win on this night.  Kelli LeGrand led the way with 9 points and Stephanie Kuiper had 8 points.  Kaylie Pries had 7, while Brittany Scheidt and Sara Hodges both contributed 6 points.  Alexis Hoogendoorn and Juliana Stremler finished the scoring with 2 points apiece.

A big thank you to all the fans who showed up and cheered the team on!  Thank you for your support and encouragement.  The Lady Trojans will be back in action after Christmas on the 26th.  The team will play at the Lisle Tournament vs. Coal City at 5:00pm.  Hope to see you out there.

Enjoy time with family and friends over the break!

Lisle defeats Timothy

It was very evident that tonight was not the night for the Lady Trojans.  Lisle played a good game and won going away, 45-24.  Timothy will now look to regroup and get ready for Westmont on Friday.  The game time is set for 7:00pm and we hope to see you all there!

A Wonderful Week in Review

This past week turned into a great a week for the Lady Trojans.  As stated in an earlier post, the Lady Trojans defeated Illiana on Tuesday by a score of 37-23.  That win marked the first stop along a very busy week.

Up next, the Lady Trojans were again busy with activities, but this time it had nothing to do with basketball.  On Wednesday night, the team was hosted by the Bone family for a team meal.  At this team meal, the girls put together a video for the 12 days of Bubbaclaus (Bubba Watson).  Feel free to stop one of the girls or the coaches for a further explanation on what Bubbaclaus is.  Anyways, the team took part in smashing a cake (basketball looking and all) that was wonderfully decorated by Mrs. Bone.  After Kaylie Pries smashed the cake with a driver, the team was destined for greatness.  The girls ended up not winning a prize for their video, but they did make the highlights on the Golf Channel!  A pretty cool thing to say the least.

Now, back to basketball.  On Friday, Timothy hosted Fenton and the game turned out to be a tough contest throughout.  The Lady Trojans used a strong second half to build enough of a cushion, that eventually would hold up.  The final score was 46-36.  Timothy was led in scoring by Kelli LeGrand with 15pts, 6 reb, 2 assists, 2 steals.   Sophomore Kaitlyn Gehrke came up with a big game herself with 12pts, 8 reb and 4 blocks.  Rounding out the night were Stephanie Kuiper (6pts, 7reb) Alexis Hoogendoorn (4pts) Sara Hodges (9pts, 6 reb) Kaylie Pries (2pts, 5 reb).

Timothy continued it's long week with another game on Saturday vs. Immaculate Conception.  In playing back to back games before, TC has been unable to complete the back to back format with consecutive wins.  Well, that changed yesterday!  IC got off to a good start with taking a 18-9 lead, but Timothy was able to close out the half with a 12-3 run, thus squaring the game up at 21.

With a great third quarter, highlighted by Brittany Scheidt scoring 8 points in 3 minutes, the Lady Trojans were on a roll.  After building a 15 point lead at one point, Timothy hung on for a 45-37 win.  Once again, good all around team play contributed to the victory and the great week.  Kaylie Pries led the team in scoring with 12 pts and Sara Hodges had 11.  After completing a 3-0 week, the team looks forward to another tough week with Lisle and Westmont ahead.

Thanks for everyone's support and encouragement throughout the week.  It is appreciated.

Lady Trojans defeat Illiana

The Lady Trojans hosted Illiana Christian on this past Tuesday and defeated the Vikings by a score of 37-23.  The game itself lacked a little energy and it was a struggle to get any type of game flow.  Timothy had the lead throughout, but really only extended it in the 4th.  Thanks to a couple of timely baskets by Kelli LeGrand and Juliana Stremler, the Lady Trojans were able to win going away.  It was a very balanced night in the scoring department as Kelli and Stephanie Kuiper led the team in scoring with 9 points each.  Alexis Hoogendoorn provided a spark off the bench with 4 points and 3 steals, while Kaylie Pries and Juliana also had 4 points.  Sara Hodges had a ton of steals while Brittany Scheidt contributed some timely rebounds.

Timothy plays Fenton this Friday at 7:30pm.  The game is at Home, so make plans to support the team.

The Week in Review

The Lady Trojans had a busy week this past week with three games in five days.  The team knew going into the week that they had a good opportunity to make an impression in our conference and the ability to improve self confidence.

The week started out with a home loss to Riverside-Brookfield 45-41.  This was a tough game to swallow as the Lady Trojans lead nearly the entire game, but in the end, missed lay-ups, free throws and open shots did not fall for TC.  Sara Hodges led the team in scoring with 13 points.

On Friday night, Timothy traveled to Elmwood Park and was able to pull out a comfortable 47-30 victory.  The Lady Trojans displayed some good ball movement, clutch shooting and some overall good defense.  Timothy was led by Stephanie Kuiper's 14 points.

Then, just yesterday, TC suffered another frustrating loss to Chicago Christian 38-34.  After trailing by 7 points at the half, Timothy used a 10-2 third quarter to take the lead and carry the lead into the final minutes of the game.  However, a similar tune as it was in the R-B game, with missed lay-ups, missed shots and this time, not coming up with a defensive rebound when needed, proved to be the downfall.

The week ended in a 1-2 record, but it showed the team that they are ready to take the next step in pulling out close games.  With valuable learning experiences behind them, the Lady Trojans look forward to another busy week where they can show their resolve.

Thank you fans for your support, especially on the road.  It was and is greatly appreciated.

Lady Trojans Take Home Opener

Well, as they say "there is no place like home" and that rang true on Friday night for the Lady Trojans. In hosting Ridgewood for their second conference game of the season, Timothy was very excited to get things off and running. TC jumped out to a very quick lead in the game and that really set the tone for the rest of the game. With every player contributing early, it was evident that Timothy came ready to play. The Lady Trojans continued to extend their lead at the half by taking a 37-22 positive margin into the break. The goal was to continue to build on the lead that the Lady Trojans built up in the first half and that they did. With great ball movement and unselfish play evident throughout, the Lady Trojans won going away in this one. The final score was 65-41 and Timothy had their first home win of the season.

As it was stated above, many players helped out on this evening. Sara Hodges led the team in scoring with 13 points. Stephanie Kuiper had 12 points and Kelli LeGrand had 11 points. 6 reb. and 7 assists. Brittany Schedit had 7 points and 7rebounds. Mackenzie Bone (3pts) Alexis Hoogendoorn (2pts) Kaylie Pries (9pts) and Kaitlyn Gehrke (8pts, 7 reb) all contributed to the scoring. It was a fun night all around with our Freshman and JV teams also winning. Thanks to our fans who came out and supported the program on this night. TC will be back in action on Tuesday night vs. Riverside-Brookfield at home. Go TC!!

TC drops Conference Opener

Timothy traveled to Glenbard South yesterday night to kick off their conference opener. Going into the game the Lady Trojans knew they had a target on their back (conference champions last year) and that Glenbard South is a good team. It was a good challenge for the team this early in the season. The game started off with both teams converting high percentage shots on the offensive end. The first quarter ended 17-15 in favor of GS. The rest of the game could be summed in a few words: cold shooting and a lot of free throws. Unfortunately for Timothy the cold shooting was associated with them and the many free throws favored Glenbard South. Glenbard South would be the victor on the night, but the Lady Trojans will look for revenge the next time the two teams meet, #flatout! Overall, Timothy competed very well and it was a positive sign for the team to move forward. Granted, losing 43-33 does not sit well with the team, but progress was made and we look forward to playing against Ridgewood on Friday. Make plans to come out and support the Lady Trojans as they have their first home game of the season on Friday. Game time is set for 7:30pm

Weekend Wrap-Up

The Lady Trojans completed the Hoop Happenings Tournament this past weekend with a record of 1-2. After an opening night lost to eventual champions, Rock Island, Timothy played the host school, IMSA, on Friday night. The girls came out very focused and ready to play better than Tuesday's game. With a strong night shooting and the ability to create some easy turnovers, Timothy beat IMSA 59-28. Brittany Scheidt and Sara Hodges led the team in scoring with 14 points apiece. Less than 24 hours later, the Lady Trojans played against Indian Creek in the Consolation Championship. The game turned out to be tight throughout with Indian Creek eventually winning 34-28. Timothy was not able to show the crispness that they had the night before and just didn't have enough in the tank to overcome the deficit. Timothy is now off from game playing until the 27th of November. Thanks to all the fans who came out and supported the Lady Trojans in their first tournament of the year.

Rock Island defeats Timothy

Well, the season started officially with the first game of the season last night. Timothy faced a very fast and physically strong Rock Island team. With the constant subbing of five people at a time from Rock Island, the game would eventually get away from the Lady Trojans. The game started out on a very positive note with Timothy taking an early 7-3 lead. As mentioned above, the pace was just too much for the Lady Trojans this early in the season. With the loss, Timothy now faces the host school, IMSA, on Friday night at 7:00pm. The game will be played at IMSA and not Aurora Christian. The Lady Trojans look forward to getting better and preparing for their next game. Just a reminder, the parents meeting starts at 5:00pm tonight.

Timothy falls short......

The Lady Trojans season came to an end this past Thursday. Much too soon for the liking of the team, but that it did. In playing Walther Lutheran, the Lady Trojans had one goal in sight. That goal.....win a Regional Championship and have the right to return to their home floor for the Sectionals. However, Walther ruined that opportunity by playing a better game than Timothy.

The first quarter got off to an interesting start with Walther not scoring a single point and Timothy holding a 7-0 lead. Even with the lead after one, Timothy was not in a flow offensively and that became evident in the second quarter. By scoring only five points in the second, Walther on the other hand got it going by scoring 16.

Trailing by four at the half, Timothy was once again committed to playing a better second half. The third quarter went back and forth with Timothy equaling Walther at 21 before a three by the Broncos ended the quarter. Trailing by three, Timothy was down to the last eight minutes to make something happen.

The fourth quarter saw more of the same, as the Lady Trojans were just unable to get anything going on the offensive end. Down by one, with just over 4:00 minutes to play, Timothy had the chance to take the lead. However, a somewhat contested lay-up would not go down and that turned out to be a momentum swing for Walther. The rest of the game turned into a free throw parade and missed shots by the Lady Trojans. The final score ended up being 40-26 and a successful season seemed frozen in time.

With the loss, it wrapped up a great season for the Lady Trojans. To begin the season, they took home the consolation championship at the IMSA tourney, rattled off a seven game win streak, took second in the Lisle Christmas Tournament, won the Conference Championship with an impressive 11-1 record and finished in the top three in the DuPage Area in team defense. As you can see, the team accomplished a lot of positives on the season and that will not go unnoticed.

The end of the season, marks the final games for our Senior class. With seven Seniors, it was truly a bittersweet night. These seven girls: Cassidy Block, Jessica Dirkse, Jasmine Stein, Michelle Ditchfield, Amber Scheidt, Ciara Hoddenbach and Tessa Bosman will go down as one of the best group of Seniors that this program has seen. They have done a tremendous job in leading this program by example. With a wonderful mixture of leadership, caring hearts and a strong desire to bring honor to God, this group will be sorely missed! Thank you Seniors for being such God fearing young women!

On an individual note, the season is not quite over for Jessica Dirkse and Kelli LeGrand. Both girls have advanced in the 3pt. competition in the state of Illinois. They will be shooting Monday night at Timothy around 7:30pm Please keep cheering these girls on as they try to advance down state!

Pasta Party After Practice

The team will be having a pasta party at school right after practice tomorrow. Practice will run from 3:10-4:40, then the meal will be around 5:00pm. Thanks to Coach B for providing the food!

Timothy moves on......

The Lady Trojans started the state playoffs in grand fashion this evening. In a rematch vs. Immaculate Conception in which IC beat Timothy earlier this year, the game had special meaning to TC. Timothy came out fired up and took an early 16-6 lead after one quarter of play. The second quarter saw the offensive play slow down a little with each team scoring 8 and 7 respectively. That allowed Timothy to take a 24-13 lead at the half.

As has been the entire season, the Lady Trojans were playing some great defense in which IC shot 5-22 from the field in the first half. With a lot of positive momentum going into the half, Timothy was committed to playing some great basketball in the second half. Once again, the Lady Trojans got off to a great start, but Immaculate Conception came back and played tough. Here again, both teams scored 9 and 8 which continued to allow Timothy to build on their lead.

Leading 33-21 going into the fourth quarter, Timothy was not going to let this game slip away. With some timely free throws, some great steals and enough rebounding, Timothy came home with the win 44-27.

Cassidy Block led the way with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists. Kelli LeGrand chipped in 7 points and 2 steals, while Jessica Dirkse and Kaylie Pries each had 6 points. Shelly Ditchfield had a solid around game: 4 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals, let alone some great defense. Tessa Bosman had 5 points and 5 rebounds and Stephanie Kuiper had a timely bucket for 2 points.

The Lady Trojans now play in the Regional Championship on Thursday night at 7:30pm The game will be played at Wheaton Academy and Timothy will be playing a familiar foe, Walther Lutheran. Make plans now to come out and support the Lady Trojans as they try to bring home the Regional Championship.

CONFERENCE CHAMPS!!

Last night the Lady Trojans hosted Riverside-Brookfield on the final night of the regular season. It was a meaningful game is many ways. First, it was our final conference game. Second, if the game was won, Timothy would be Conference Champs and Finally, it was Senior Night! With so many things having such importance to the team, the game did not disappoint.

The Lady Trojans got off to a pretty good start by winning the first quarter by a score of 10-7. However, the second quarter was all Riverside-Broofield. The Bulldogs from R-B could not miss and their ball movement was good. With hot shooting and good play, R-B outscored Timothy 17-5 in the second quarter to take a 24-15 lead into the half.

Thankfully, there is a halftime where adjustments can be made. Timothy did just that, and the leader of that change was Tessa Bosman. Tessa scored 9 points herself in the third to spark the Lady Trojans on offense. Her energy enabled Timothy to overcome R-B by outscoring them 20-8 in the third.

That momentum led the way in the fourth as Timothy found a renewed sense of urgency to play better defense. The game was back and forth in the fourth with neither team having more than a three point lead. The turning point in the fourth was a great steal by Jasmine Stein which led to a lay-up by Jasmine. That steal and lay-up really gave the Lady Trojans the momentum they needed to finish the game. With free throws being made and executing some nice press breakers, the Lady Trojans were on their way to becoming Conference Champions! The final score ended up being 47-41.

Tessa Bosman led the way with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block. Cassidy Block had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 blocks. Jasmine Stein chipped in 9 points, 3 steals, 2 assists. Kelli LeGrand had 5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals. Shelly Ditchfield dropped in 4 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals. Stephanie Kuiper had 2 points, 4 rebounds and Jessica Dirkse had 2 points.

As mentioned above, this night was special. Obviously, winning the Conference was awesome, but honoring our seven Seniors was even better. The seven Seniors who are: Cassidy Block, Tessa Bosman, Jessica Dirkse, Amber Scheidt, Michelle Ditchfield, Ciara Hoddenbach and Jasmine Stein have meant a lot to the basketball program through the years. They are a special group and will be sorely missed as players, but more importantly as young ladies in Christ. Their commitment to leading by example has truly been a blessing to the team, program and to Timothy Christian High School. THANK YOU SENIORS!

Senior Night.....Tonight!!

Tonight is Senior Night as the Lady Trojans host Riverside-Brookfield. Pre-game festivities start around 6:30 with the game to follow. Make plans to come out and help support the Lady Trojans this evening. It should be a great night!

Congrats to Cassidy

Lady Trojans defeat Glenbard South

Last night's game at Glenbard South was a fun one. With both teams coming into the game with only one loss in the conference, the importance of a victory for either team was crucial. Knowing that going into the game, the Lady Trojans were excited and eager to get the game going. The coach on the other hand had plenty of nervous excitement and so many thoughts flooded his mind. Needless to say, all of those things go away once the game starts.

Timothy came out with a great start with posting a lead of 12-4 at one point in the first quarter. Glenbard South finished up the quarter by scoring the last four points to make it 12-8 after one.

Both teams found some offensive flow in the second quarter with Timothy scoring 17 points and Glenbard scoring 15. That allowed TC to take a 29-23 lead into the half. The second quarter saw some timely three's from Kelli LeGrand and Jessica Dirkse.

The third quarter did not resemble the second quarter in that each team struggled to score at times. Thankfully Timothy was able to win the quarter 9-8 and take a 38-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

Free throws were the name of the game in the fourth. The Lady Trojans scored 10 points alone on free throws while only making two baskets. Overall, Timothy shot 22-28 from the line, which proved to be a valuable asset tonight. The final score ended up being 52-37.

As was the case again last night, Cassidy Block continues her torrid pace of scoring by dropping 27 in the game. She also had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. Kelli LeGrand had 9 points, 2 rebounds, Jessica Dirkse had 6 points while Tessa Bosman had 4 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Shelly Ditchfield, Jasmine Stein and Stephanie Kuiper had 2 points apiece.

Next up for the Lady Trojans is Riverside-Brookfield on Thursday night. It is also Senior Night, so make plans to come out and support the Lady Trojans on this special evening.

Timothy outlasts Fenton

Yesterday saw the Lady Trojans host conference foe Fenton High School. With a start time of 5:00, not a normal time, both teams found it difficult to get their offenses going. With a score of 18-17 at the half, the Lady Trojans were ready to get things going, and that they did. With a 24 point outburst in the third quarter, Timothy was able to build a little bit of a lead. However, Fenton scored 18 points in the third quarter which kept the game close. The fourth quarter had plenty of drama as Timothy thought a comfortable lead of eight points was going to win the game. But, as in most cases, the game is never easy. Fenton made a furious rally to the point where they had the last shot to win it on a three pointer. Thankfully for the Lady Trojans the shot was long and did not draw iron. The missed shot completed a game that was very tense throughout. The final score was 48-46.

Cassidy Block continued her strong play with 17 points,10 rebounds, 3 assists. Tessa Bosman stepped up and contributed 10 points and 9 rebounds. Jessica Dirkse chipped in 7 points, 2 rebounds while Stephanie Kuiper and Shelly Ditchfield each had 5 points. Kelli LeGrand had a solid all around game with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals while Jasmine Stein did a great job of handling the ball and dished out 3 assists and grabbed 3 rebounds.

Timothy battles Glenbard South on Tuesday night and then hosts Riverside-Brookfield on Thursday which will be Senior Night.

Walther defeats Timothy

This past Thursday, the Lady Broncos came to town and defeated the Lady Trojans. On a night where our Middle School Teams were recognized and honored, Timothy was unable to pull off the victory. After getting off to a great start, the Lady Trojans slowed down and Walther was able to tie the game at the half.

Walther did a good job in the third quarter by building a lead which would allow them to hold off a late rally by the Lady Trojans. Timothy competed to the end, but it just wasn't enough. The final score ended up being 42-35.

Lady Trojans Post the Victory

Timothy traveled to Elmwood Park last night to continue it's quest for a conference championship. Having played EP just over a week ago, the Lady Trojans were ready to play some better defense and that is what they did. Timothy held the Tigers to three points in the first quarter and 11 points in the first half. On the flip side however, Timothy's shots were not falling as much as they would have liked, settling for outside shots. Timothy did take a 20-11 lead into the half.

The third quarter saw the Lady Trojans ramp up the offense and continue their stellar play on defense. Part of the ramped up offense featured Cassidy Block going into "beast mode" and literally dominating in all facets of the game. More on her later. With a renewed sense of energy and shots starting to fall, the Lady Trojans were able to win going away. The final score was 46-28. Timothy moves to 15-5 overall and 8-1 in conference.

As mentioned above, Cassidy Block had a stellar game. She finished the night with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. It was an impressive individual performance. Other contributors on the night were Kelli LeGrand with 8 points and 8 rebounds, Jessica Dirkse with a 4 point play (three pointer and a free throw), Ciara Hoddenbach with 2 points and Amber Scheidt with 2 points. Overall, the team played some great defense and everyone deserves credit here!

Timothy is home tomorrow night vs. Walther Lutheran as the Lady Trojans welcome our Middle School Teams for "Middle School Night". Please come out and support the team as they continue to prepare for the final stretch of the season.

O What A Night!

To describe what took place last night is hard to do, but I will do my best. The theme for the evening was "Think Pink" which obviously referred to bringing attention to Breast Cancer Awareness and more importantly Cancer Research as a whole. There was plenty of pink to go around last night with several fans, players and coaches decked out in the color. Thanks to some generous donors, the Lady Trojans were able to wear pink jerseys (which looked awesome)for the game.

However, before the game, the team was treated to a wonderful pre-game speech/testimony by Mrs. Tracy Leach. Her speech was inspiring and gave new insight into the battle against cancer. Above all, her courageous strength to overcome such adversity was humbling to us all.

After the testimony, it was time to play the game. Kind of hard to do after hearing such a personal story, but the Lady Trojans were ready to go! The first part of the game got off to a sluggish start with both teams missing several shots. After a lull offensively, the Lady Trojans were able to hit a three (by Jessica Dirkse) to get some momentum going into the halftime.

The third quarter saw some better execution as Timothy was able to build a little bit of a lead. As games with Chicago Christian typically go, the game was far from over. The Knights were relentless on the offensive glass, making it difficult for Timothy to build on any lead they had. In the fourth quarter it was pretty much a back and forth contest with Timothy holding a slight lead of 3 or 4 points for most of the time. The Lady Trojans were able to get the lead to 6 with less than a minute to play. However, CC hit a big three to make it a one possession game. Kelli LeGrand calmly stepped to the foul line and sank two free throws to put the game away, with a final score of 44-41.

Cassidy Block led the Lady Trojans with 20 points, 7 rebounds. Tessa Bosman had 6 points, 10 rebounds, Jessica Dirkse had 6 points and both Shelly Ditchfield and Kaylie Pries had 4 points. As mentioned above, Kelli LeGrand made two big free throws to finish with 2 points, 2 assits.

It was a special evening and we thank everyone for coming out and supporting the Lady Trojans and more specifically, the fight against cancer. We ended up raising over $1300.00 for the fight! We hope to have some pictures up soon, either here or on the Timothy Christian website.

A huge thank you to the donors and individuals who made this night a reality. Without your giving heart, events like this don't just happen. Thank you!

Post Exam Victory

After a week of studying and taking exams, the Lady Trojans came out with some good energy on Saturday afternoon. As a coach, you don't know what to expect in a game coming off a very long week of mental and emotional exhaustion. However, the team really stepped up and provided a good spark of enthusiasm and positive encouragement. The game itself got off to a fast start with the score being 17-9 after one quarter of play. Timothy would duplicate the scoring number of 17 in the second quarter and take a 34-20 lead into the half.

Give credit to Elmwood Park for playing a tough third quarter as they outscored and outplayed the Lady Trojans. Timothy was up to the task however and put together a solid fourth quarter and finished up the game with a 55-42 victory. Many players contributed in the team victory that improved Timothy's record to 13-5 overall and 7-1 in conference.

As mentioned above, several players stepped up today. Cassidy Block had a solid all-around game with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Tessa Bosman had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists. Shelly Ditchfield with 9 points, 2 assists; Jessica Dirkse provided some instant offense off the bench with 8 points, 3 rebounds; Kaylie Pries and Jasmine Stein had 4 points apiece with Jasmine also dropping 4 dimes (assists) on the afternoon. Amber Scheidt had 2 points, 2 steals as the team racked up 16 assists on the day.

Timothy Takes Two

The Lady Trojans competed in two games over the weekend with a game on Friday night and then again on Saturday night. On Friday, the team traveled to Norridge to take on Ridgewood. The offense was in high gear as the Lady Trojans finished with 57 points on the night. Several girls contributed on the evening with four girls scoring in double figures. Tessa Bosman had 16, Jessica Dirkse had 12, Cassidy Block with 11 and Stephanie Kuiper had a double double with 10pts and 10 rebounds. The final score ended up 57-42.

The very next night, Timothy hosted Illiana in another conference game. Partaking in their third game in four nights, the coaching staff was not quite sure what to expect on this evening. However, the Lady Trojans were ready to roll. By posting a 19-11 advantage after one quarter of play, it was evident that scoring was going to be on the high side. Timothy took a 31-19 advantage into the half. The second half saw the Lady Trojans convert several Illiana turnovers into points. The final score wound up being 52-33.

Tessa Bosman again led the way with 14 points, Cassidy Block had 13 points, 6 reb, 6 steals and Kelli LeGrand finished with 10 points, 5 steals. Kaylie Pries - 4 pts, 3 assists, Shelly Ditchfield - 5 points, 3 assists, 3 steals and Stephanie Kuiper, Jessica Dirkse, Amber Scheidt each had 2 points.

Lisle defeats Timothy

Lisle High School defeated Timothy this evening by a score of 37-25. It was not a good game offensively for the Lady Trojans as there were too many turnovers and open shots not falling. Lisle did a good job down the stretch with making some timely baskets to increase their lead.

Timothy looks to bounce back as they play back to back conference games on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game is away, while Saturday's game is home vs Illiana.

Thanks for the fan support tonight and we hope to see you again on Saturday.

The Lady Trojans host Lisle High School this evening at 7:00pm. Come out and support the team in the New Year!
