The Lady Trojans traveled to R-B for a conference clash amongst two of the top three teams in the conference. TC had not played a game since Jan. 10 and with exams taking the focus of the past week, the Lady Trojans were not ready from the start. R-B jumped out to an early 11-3 lead rather quickly and held a 16 point lead at the half.
The second half saw a little fight in the team, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit or a hot shooting R-B team. The final score was 64-48 in favor of the Bulldogs. The team will now look to bounce back on Monday against a team from Wisconsin, Kenosha St. Joseph. The Lady Trojans will be playing a part in a Martin Luther King Jr. Shootout hosted by Concordia University. The team looks forward to this great opportunity to play on such a special day.
Brittany Scheidt and Kelli LeGrand led TC in scoring against R-B with 11 points each. Alexis Hoogendoorn had a solid all around game with 8pts, 8reb, 3 steals while Kaylie Pries had 6pts, 6 reb. Rounding out the day: Sarah Nelson 5pts, 2 steals, Sara Hodges 5pts, 4reb, Mackenzie Bone 2pts, 2reb, 2 assists.
