Last night, the Lady Trojans traveled to Chicago Christian to take part in a five game extravaganza. In being the fourth game of the night, TC would end up making this game a heart stopper. After battling to a pretty even game after three quarters, the girls took a lead of six with about a minute to go. After consecutive turnovers on the Lady Trojans part, Chicago Christian capitalized and cut the lead down to two. With eight seconds to play, a shot was attempted, but thankfully it was missed and TC escaped with the win 34-32. Kari LeGrand led Timothy with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Cassidy Block (8 points, 4 steals, 5 blocks) Tessa Bosman (6 points, 4 rebounds) Jessica Dirkse (2 points) Shelly Ditchfield (4 points, 2 assists)Jordyn Platt (3 points, 2 assists, 2 steals) and Anna Wondergem (3 rebounds, 2 blocks) all helped lead a balanced attack. It was a fun and exciting night in which Timothy took 4 out of 5 games....Go TC!!
The Lady Trojans now host Illiana Christian on Thursday at 7:00pm. Make plans now to come out and support the girls in the early season conference match-up. On a side note, all gate proceeds will be donated to the Roseland Christian School community to help some families in their community who recently lost some loved ones.
